Hi y'all! They are playing lots of Clay on the radio here in NC. According to my friend in Winston-Salem, he's the most requested artist on the 24/7 Christmas station there. I've heard him everyday on the radio and I don't have it on that much and then again tonight I heard him in the restaurant I was in. It makes me walk around with a silly grin on my face!
Must share this. I baby sat for my son's soon-to-be step children the other night. In conversation, the girl mentioned that her favorite dessert was Cherry Yum Yum. What?! I told her I just happened to have the recipe in those two books on the coffee table over there. I made her some! We also made cookies (while ARTHUR was playing in the background) for her brothers but I digress. THEN we watched Aladdin--I just happened to have the special edition. After it was over I played Clay singing POYB and her eight yr. old brother said, "that Clay Aiken sure can sing." I love that kid. You know, I never thought I'd get to use these things for actual kids besides the big kid in me!
Killer, Jayneinnashville and MGM Pat--have a great time tomorrow. Pat, your son sounds like a lot of fun.
Dianna What a sweet sentiment
Hugs and Prayers to Terry NC

Nothing like replying to myself...heh....on second thought, I would prefer to read the excerpt in an email, if Lisa M. wouldn't mind sending it. Probably best to not get into a book discussion on the PPs!

I'm packed and ready to leave at the crack of dawn for Nashville. I will finally get to see JNT05....however, I'm so not a virgin. I've listened to every cellcert and downloaded everyday. Still there's nothing like Clay live! I have to tell a cute story. My son called this afternoon to ask me to leave out some assorted Clay stuff while we're out of town (hubby's going to this concert with me since we all act pretty much like grownups.) He's going to make a Christmas present for his dad of Clay cd's, posters, tour books and hide his real present somewhere in all of the stuff. He thinks the picture of the look on Dad's face while he's going through all of that will be worth the effort. Of course, that means I'll have to take a lot of ribbing from all the other family. I do think it sounds like fun, though. I'll be away until Monday evening...y'all don't have too much fun without me, okay? I LOVE CLAY AIKEN

Hi all, Diana in the Lou wanted to post this yesterday but, as you know, the guestbook was down. I am posting it for her here, a day late: QUOTE: My dear Broads, Would you please indulge me. I want to wish a Happy Birthday to MY original "singin man"...Bill would have been 64 today. It does not seem like almost 3 years since he passed away. Bill never accepted his diabetes. Therefore, the disease accepted him. When he asked me to marry him, he was dressed in all his "country" finest. Cowboy boots, sequined shirt and bright yellow pants. Then yesterday was the 2-year anniversary of my meeting mah Broads. Mainly my main broad Ms. Paula. It is ironic that only because of Bill's death was I able to meet an incredible group of women, BUT most of all the "New Singin Man" in my life. Love him with a purple passion. I truly think Bill would have approved of each and all of my new girlfriends-------- I love you too. UNQUOTE

YAAAY the PPs are back! Now I can say all the stuff I've been holding onto for lo these many, uh, hours. :-D
Like, how is he able to look so cute even wearing the goofiest dang things imaginable? (or UNimaginable) (see 'Angel in da Hood')
And I just got the book Invisible Revolution by Terry (Spike) Piper--it's quite good so far. Some nice snark, a shout out to our own Ethel, and 2 mentions of these hallowed pages!
Hope Jaynenashville & Killer Dee are getting themselves together for their historic meeting tomorrow...TOMORROW?? EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Killer polish up your spatula!! (better yet, go buy one & ask him to autograph it...bet that'd be the most unique thing he's signed the whole tour!)
Oh, & tell him if he wants some nice loud hand knitted stripey sox, you know a gurrl who'd be only too happy to oblige. (If he doesn't believe you, I'll wear some tomorrow myself. He can come take a look. Just send him to find me. I'll be wearing my NAT sweater.) I cd even do double duty as his traveling voice therapist. I have plenty of experience with oral exercises.

Sorry to post again so soon, but JaneG is telling me all this stuff...
She is so blown away she can't remember if him talking to audience was before or after the show. :) It was probably just like he always does prior to DSIAFCD! She says her mind is totally blown! I guess mine would be too after row 2! :) (hehe, I plan to find out Saturday night!)
Clay was really appreciative of the audience last night because of all the fan participation. They clapped along to the songs and gave him standing ovations after each song in the medley ... Clay LOVED it.
The Baltimore Claymates handed out a flyer about not flashing and asking everybody to really get involved in the show by cheering and clapping, etc. Clay was ALL SMILES over it all. JaneG said there was very little flashing going on. She also said a man video taped the ENTIRE show from row one! Can't wait to see THAT!!!
