Patricia was NOT wearing a TIE we've ever seen on Clay last night: she still looks awfully happy!
MGM Pat, thanks for bringing that whole quote over. I love reading 'industry folk' reports indicating Clay's potential.
Whee....So happy to 'hear' from our Albany Broads! Great gushing reports!
Joanne NC, please email me.

Hello all!! unspoiled no more! Back from Albany (through the f*%king snow)(yeah I know I live in northern NY and that is to be expected.. but I don't have to LIKE it) But I guess its worth it for every date with an angel.. Waves to GrannyNY and Debbie (if you're lurking girl, jump on in!)Thanks for a great time! Kelly, too bad we didn't know you were there..would have liked to say hello. And the Skyline had some kickass pizza, too.. wood fired oven.. yum! Karen eh.. looking forward to seeing your pics! Joanie, it was great to meet you and Anne. Maybe I'll see you at the Tweeter, along with the rest who will be there! (Waves to MLK) William Joseph was a real cutie-pie! Can't wait for my BIT to meet him tomorrow! She's gonna have a meltdown! On another note, anyone know where I can get a Clay Dictionary.. the Broads version needs too much..errr... "editing" for the person I want to print it out for Hugs all! Prayers for Terry NC

OMG Kelly in NY we were at the Skyline too. We were sitting at the table where the radio Kelly was giving away the door prizes. I wish I had seen you and given you a breastess squeeze. So near and yet so far. I just emailed Spike (Terry Piper) who was at our Broadfest in Albany last year. I ordered her new book today. She emailed me back and said she hopes we can do that again. Major hugs and prayers to Terry NC.

Well...
I finally saw him!
Thursday night in Albany...accompanied by my SIL Cindy and her sister Beth...somehow our Broadly radar steered us to the Skyline Pub and the radio station sponsored pre-party...(mainly because, by the time we got into Albany and found a parking spot all the restaurants we walked to were either WAY too pricey or had an hour or more wait just to be seated) GrannyNY Were your ears ringing??? Cuz SIL Cindy and I were wondering if we'd run into you somewhere. We sat at the bar (I had on a purple sweater) and had the BEST burgers and sweet potato fries EVER!!! Plus I had to have a pint of Guinness to stave off the chill.
Guinness is good for you...but Clay is better--so much better! It was a wonderful show...I'm glad I maintained my virginity. It made it all new for me. I loved watching his *angelic* self walking around overseeing and controlling the characters and scenes with those expressive hands...and I secretly LOVED watching him almost land on that adorable tush during the Sleigh Ride Song...
My only critique: Clay...Please,try not to name any future characters in any future productions after feminine hygeine products....Tommy Massengill?! I almost peed my pants when I read that in the credits.
But on the whole...it was wonderful and so were you Mr. Aiken.
And for the last two days since the show I've been on a drinking binge; imbibing every hot beverage I can think of(mainly coffee, tea and cocoa)so I can have the excuse to press my lips against his sweet smiling face....on the side of my new coffee mug!
Wish I'd gotten to give you a proper hug GrannyNY...We were thinking of you.
I feel complete...now that I've seen him...It really feels like Christmas...
This weekend we're putting up our tree and Monday is Mr. K/NY's birthday...he's really come into his Brude-dom thiese past few months. He always points out when he's wearing something with purple in it. And last night he gave me a pair of purple rubber gloves after telling me that if I ever get a M&G w/ Clay he doesn't want me putting my hands all over him...! Ha ha. He thought he was incredibly funny... Wonder if I should break out the Purple Duck Tape for his birthday.... hehe.
My only Albany regret besides not getting to hug the other Broads who were there is that I forgot to get an ornament... My son told me he was relieved I hadn't, because we'd either have to hang it so people in the room could see it...or on the window side of the tree where everyone else would see it!What a stinker.
That's okay...every time I use my new mug I go over to my sons and in my best Paris Hilton voice I say: *Clay's Hot.*
Gets them every time.
Hugs to all...

This might help - the link for B101. Notice it has the wrong date. I let them know but I just found this today while checking out the Stocking for Kids info.
http://www.b101radio.com/?loadpage=off
I went to the Tweeter site and TM for Tweeter - appears Clay is the ONLY act booked. Not even the usual Jingle Jam stuff. Weird. Is the planned Camden Waterfront Revival unraveling?
If anyone wants more specific info about the venue just email me.

Just an FYI - Anyone wanting tickets to Sunday night's concert at the Tweeter Center B101 radio has a half price promotion - but so do all the brokers.
I had extra tix but now my sons and their girlfriends are using them. The boys said NO but their sweeties said if they knew what was good for them they were going.
Anyway - I knew Camden was going to be a hard sell. So anyone close enough to go - get your a$$es on over there.

Wow. I am bringing over this great post from 43dudleyvillas at CH..... it's long but so worth reading. This says it all about the respect in the business for our guy. What follows is all dudley's post, not mine:
Quote:
Anyway, this is kind of cool. Was cruising around and found the following entry in a Matt Bronleewe blog (Bronleewe is one of the fellows who co-wrote "Compromise" . It's a late May 2005 entry, that sheds a little bit of light on what went down for that ASCAP Pro songwriter hoedown (tm finyanga) in Nashville: Matt Bronleewe wrote:
Quote:
"I just got back from a big song meeting regarding Clay Aiken's next record. In the room were fifty (50!!!) of some of the biggest songwriters in music today, all vying for a spot on his record. Wild stuff. I think even those of us in the music industry didn't realize the level of competition on this record. The cool thing is that quite a few of us in the room are good friends, and right away we all talked about how we could help each other get some songs together for the project.
After the festivities had subsided, I got together with a couple other songwriters to discuss the spectacle we had just witnessed. One of the guys was completely bummed out. I asked him why. He said it was because he just found out, in front of everyone, that the song he had pitched for Clay's album had been rejected. Ouch. I consoled him with my story of once having a song of mine rejected by the Muppets - and let me tell you, when you are rejected by foam puppets, you've reached the bottom of the rejection pile. Oh well. You just have to dust off your boots and press forward, because right around the corner can be something AMAZING. Anyone in the creative industry has to quickly get used to rejection. For the creative professional, it's not just a common occurrence, it's a lifestyle."
So I guess the hoedown was indeed for Clay's album alone. It is, of course, v. cool to see the process of getting to be on Clay's record described as that competitive, and also to see the pool of songwriters who attended this meeting described as such top-flight people.[/ End quote. This makes me all kind of happy. I LOVE CLAY AIKEN

Just got home late yesterday after leaving Albany Friday morning in the middle of the snowstorm. We had nasty traveling for about two hours until we got halfway home to PA.
It was great to meet up with Barb (Granny NY,) Julianne, and their friend Debbie for dinner. Didn't win any front row tickets to see our man, but Barb and I won non-Clay C.D.s
Have yet to watch Albany clack, but I think DSIAFCD has to be the best ever, WOW...that glory note and his cute reaction after, and Emmanuel was out-of-this-world. I had tears streaming down my face; my friend had to ask if I was OK.
Next stop Camden, NJ. I hope to see Irene, Philly, Pat...anyone else going?
